Apply patterns to your Manga illustrations the traditional way with the adhesive screentones in this Beginners Tone Kit!
These tones are great for artists who want to try the original process of adding designs by hand to their drawings with this artful action now more commonly done digitally. Simply cut out whatever size you need, slightly bigger than the area on your drawing that you want the pattern. Lightly press it onto the paper and trace around the design with an X-acto/cutting knife. Remove the excess areas of the pattern and firmly press down the remaining pattern onto your drawing (often done with a spatula-type tool called a tone hera). Some of the tone can also then be partially scraped away with the knife to create accents and gradation.
Beginners Tone Kit B includes the following 4 patterned Jr. screentone sheets:
JR-106 10% dot
JR-107 20% dot
JR-117 dot grid design
JR-129 sand
Also included are some sample line drawings for practice.
("Jr." screentones are a smaller size than the regular tone packs, with sheets measuring 6.5" x 9".)
Made in Japan.
